Reply with quote | #1 | I have a question, it's not just directed towards women, but everyone. Here's the scenario: Im in the DFAC (the Dining Facility for the military impaired) and as I'm walking towards my seat, I start to get these out-of-the-corner-of-the-eye looks from these females (yeah just happens to be black). Now I know that I ain't the ugliest female in the world, and for me to be deployed I keep myself looking pretty good, but they were eyeing me like I was a threat to them. I'm not insecure or anything like that, but it drove me into this deep debate with myself. Us as women, and even more than that.. black women, we are supposed to embrace each other and welcome one another, especially in Iraq where it's hard to find people to talk to. And we find ourselves at each other throat, even if you don't know them. So after all that typing I think my original thought and question is:
Why is it that the only threat facing women today is.......Other women????? __________________ I speak with honesty, candor, and without recollection...... Some may call me a b*tch.... I call myself a poet!!!! |

I feel you on that one. I'm actually very curious about the answer myself. In my opinion, every woman offers something different. I don't have the same package as any other woman, and they don't have the same package as me. So I have no reason to be intimidated or challenged by anyone. But I know that a lot of women are like that. Could it stem from their own insecurities? But at the same time, I suffered with low self esteem for a long time, but I still wasn't intimidated by other females. I don't know. HisConscience, you're making me think early in the morning and now I'm confusing myself. But, for real, any takers for the answer to this one??? __________________ We wear the mask that grins and lies,

I feel you on that one Lyric, I had a lot of insecurities growing up, but I knew that other women didn't have the answer, I had to find it in myself. I never was envious of another woman, especially now. I have the confidence that I didn't have in high school, but here in Iraq there is no reason to be focused on anything than the mission at hand.....GETTING HOME ALIVE!!!!!! __________________ I speak with honesty, candor, and without recollection...... Reply with quote | #4 | I think some women may look at you and see something about you that they wish they had and it makes them feel bad about themselves and so it makes them hate you for the thing you have that they don't which really still doesn't make any negative response to you right but it is what it is and you just have to either let people live in their own hell or kill'em with kindness.
Now with that said gurl just continue to do you and God will do the rest. Think about that. __________________ Every Woman Is A Profound Woman.
